BOOKS!
Thought I'd make a thread where people can discuss what they like to read/are reading/would recommend because I'm curious as to what kind of stuff people like to read.

Online seinen manga mostly, with few exceptions like Darwin's Game, Yuusha Ga Shinda!, and Baito Saki wa "Aku no Soshiki"?! that happen to fall under the Shounen category.

And while yes they're not physical books I'm reading, plenty of em I've bought that are still in Japanese...

Meanwhile I have yet to finish my copy of Watership Down I asked for my Birthday roughly 2 years ago... *sigh*

I'm very odd with reading. I'll have periods of REAAAAAAAAADING, then just, stop. For ages.

Case in point, few months back, went through The Hunger Games (1 was good, 2 was okay, 3 was utter shit), new Captain Underpants and Wimpy Kid books, Skulduggery Pleasant (HOLY SHIT READ THESE), and started the Song of Ice and Fire, before burning out halfway through Feast for Crows.

I recently read Good Omens and found it to be one of the single funniest stories I have ever encountered in my life.

And though I dropped off with the more recent books, The Xanth series is top notch, It's full of all sorts of fetish fuel. Monster girls and magic springs that make you fall in love with the first thing you see,

The Martian was a wonderful piece of Science Fiction and Comedy if anyone ever wants to check it out. The movie was pretty damn charming too, but the book was something else.

I'm a very slow reader so it'll probably be a while.

It occurs to me I haven't shared any of my opinions yet... David Eddings books are a great read even if a full series of his books are difficult to come by in shops. Also, Brian McClellan's Powder Mage trilogy is really good.

I could probably get through it in 10 hours or so so I get you. I used to prove it to people in school that I could read as fast as I do.

I personally really like the book "Jam" by Yahtzee (the Zero Punctuation guy). Its about an apocolypse of man eating strawberry jam. Also "Mogworld" by Yahtzee is pretty good.

Been meaning to read "United States of Japan", havent had the time though.
