Anybody Seen "Ella Enchanted"?
So heres a weird topic, many, many, years ago i saw a movie called Ella Enchanted. It was god fucking awful. The basic plot was that Ella (Anne Hathaway) gets a spell put on her as a baby that makes it so that she is forced to do literally anything she is told (nobody tells her to go fuck herself though), ive never met anybody else whose seen it, but i figure if there are fans anywhere, this is probably the place to find them, so anybody seen it?

Seen it, also found the idea of her being forced to do whatever she's told to be really cringey, otherwise was typical "fairytale/fantasy story reimagining that's hip for the younger generations."

Remember reading the book as a kid

Never found it appealing in a fetishy way

Someone must've, though

I remember seeing this movie as a kiddo and being really surprised that it didn't make me feel 'funny'

I remember it; it's been a little while though. One little thing does bug me about it though...

It's disappointing that she decided to break the curse completely as opposed to say, commanding herself to listen to only herself. There are instances of her breaking the laws of physics in order to obey a command which means the enchantment doesn't just make her obey; but makes the entire universe around her comply to commands as well.

If she made it so she only had to obey her own commands, she could have turned the curse around into neigh omnipotence.

I watched the movie once and it was awful. The book, however, is pretty damn good. No fetish-y material, really (except for one section that might be halfway there), but it's pretty good for what it is -- a kid's book, and a reimagining on one of the most classic tales I know of.

Remember it, but not well enough to determine the exact cringe factor.
