Anybody here heard of Molly Moon?
I'm honestly very suprised that there isn't any Molly Moon stuff on here, since the Molly Moon series is so rich of MC and hypnosis. The plot of all the stories is hypnosis based, and almost all the main characters are hypnotists. Hell, those books are what made me realize I had this fetish. I guess maybe because it's books less people have heard of it, but still, I'm suprised that books that revolve around MC don't even have a mention on here.

Google thinks an obscure ice cream brand of the same name is more popular than the books, so no it isn't very surprising to me.

Ice cream.
Huh.

Guess the books are more obscure than I thought, damn.
But hey, hypnotic ice cream. Imagine: It's customized to the favorite flavour of whomever eats it, and the more the eat, the more obedient they get, and by the time they finish the bowl, they're a slave.

Yes. I read the first one or two.

The books were probably my introduction to hypnosis, too, but I didn't have a hypnosis fetish until later. The first book is still in my bookshelf, though.

YO
The hypnosis themed ones were my jam back as a kid! It's one of the series that made me realize I was into hypnosis as I aged.
Were they all hypno related or just the couple that I read?

I've read the first four (are there more? I have no idea...), they're actually what got me into hypnotism in general, way back before there was anything sexual about it. Great stuff...and yet, for some reason, I just can't see it in a fetish-y way.

I feel like I might've vaguely acknowledged seeing these books around before but I've never read them.

[As far as hypnosis as a major theme in children's books goes though, what about The Demon Headmaster? Brought this up to Edge and got quite a reaction.]

Isn't that the series where the girl finds a book on hypnosis, figures out how to hypnotize herself, and at some point hypnotizes a dog to make it hate ketchup?

I might have read one of em in Elementary school once.

I feel like some other thread brought the book up, but I can't remember for sure.

But I definitely read one of them in elementary school. It was weird because it seemed like a book only girls seemed to read, but I just loved it. The Hollywood one or so. Maybe that's one of the things that got me interested in MC, but I can't bring myself to think of it in a fetish-y light.

I remember a Goosebumps book having very light MC elements in it. Like...almost barely there. But for some reason 10 year old me was utterly fascinated.

I tried this series, but wasn't too particularly fond of it.

There was a different YA series I liked with an MC scene in it, something about a kid in search of a fantasy world filled with militant fairies and such. Ended up capturing one, and later on to escape the kid's clutches she hypnotizes his maid to let her go. Wasn't anything spectacular, but I do remember that scene specifically if anything. :0
