Wait, No Olympics Thread?
I'm not a huge sports fanatic but goddam do I love watching the Olympics. There's something so grand about watching countries come together to compete in games. I think so far I have adored watching swimming and volleyball, but I make sure to watch other events throughout the day.

What about you guys, has anyone else been enjoying the Summer Games, and what events do you get excited for?

Yeah, I've never really followed the Olympics myself, but I sure have seen a lot of stuff in the news about the poor conditions of Rio de Janeiro, particularly the water. It's such a terrible shame.

I'm a lover of the Olympics, particularly swimming events, where our boys and girls have been absolutely killing it this year (USA! USA!). Still really looking forward to seeing more beach volleyball, and the track and field portion of the events.

Seriously, though, the only events I've seen so far were snippets of gymnastics and half of a tennis match where Murray really seemed to be phoning it in...

I loved seeing the gymnastics and swimming events. The US seems to be killing it this year.

Gymnastics have always been my favorite primarily because I'm an insane fan of stunts. I love watching people do flips and test their endurance and strength in the most awesome ways. It just sucks I've been missing a lot of it.
