Manipper tag requirements

How much does one need to edit a picture to be given a manipper tag?
I'm just wondering because I have done 2 manips (last two posts), and I don't know what you would call the gifs I made of vivi...
Anyway sorry if this was asked before, don't wanna spam the server

if you didnt create it from scratch, youre a manipper. (unless it was black and white and you colored it, then you would have the colorist tag).

make a gif out of static images is considered manipping

also if you are uploading a gif unedited then you dont put your artist tag in unless you mad it from scratch.

I made the gif myself however it is using the one piece anime. Sort of like a screen recording put on a loop (there is a little more than that but thats more or less it)

just looping is not manipping, adding something is

Alright thanks! And how would I create my own tag? I know I can just add it as a tag but its not like the other manipper tags

but you only need to put in "artist:" once, the site will automatically put in the artist tag when you enter "nightlucidity_(manipper)"

Does adding text/captions to pictures count as being a manipper? .-.

Ah good to hear! I made one today, and am planning on more, but I didn't know if I was really eligeble to add one for me, since 1) I only made 1 so far and 2) it's just adding a caption to a picture XD

If you just add text/captions then the image also gets the tag [[caption_only]] in addition to [[manip]].
