Some sketchy privacy search thing keeps redirecting me when I come here. It just takes me off the Hub to some site that tells me to download their thing.

Of course I'm not trusting it but it's super annoying and worrying.

Yeah, happened to me a while back when I got infected. Just run the anti-virus.

Ran the full sysetm sweep if there was anything hopefully that took care of it.

This may seem like stupid advice, but make sure to uncheck all of the add-on boxes when you download programs, as that's usually what causes this kind of problem.

I get this on mobile a lot. It's the ads, near as I can tell..

I've had the same issue with one other forum a while back and after some messing around with setting it cleared up. I don't know why it's happening here again, Because this is the only site that it's happened on.

I just had this happen to me. I'm pretty sure it's the website itself sending me the ads, unless there's some special adware designed only to target hypnohub users...

I'm sorry that I use adblock, but given how it's making sure I avoid this issue, at this point in time i'm alright with using it

same here, but i use it everywhere, nobody gets special treatment. FUCK INTRUSIVE AND DISTRACTING ADS

If you're logged in there are only banners afaik, the popunder is there for anons but it shouldn't redirect, only pop a new window. Usually behind the actual browser, hence the name popunder.



Which is why big sites (example: www.forbes.com ) are now blocking adblockers from viewing the site. Or why Gelbooru and rule34.xxx are pushing ads trough adlockers since the adblock % is above 50%. And yes, this will eventually happen to hypnohub to. Its just that right now it makes enough to host the site and i have a bunch of other incomes so its not needed. Encouraging other users to also use adblock is like dine and dashing at your favorite restaurant until they go bankrupt.

i just do it because i have a 32-bit refurbished laptop, and a lot of ads (example, the ones on this site) that move and the pop-ups, can cause my laptop to slow down, and heat up. so i do it because if i dont, when it heats up, a lot of programs i use will crash.

but im planning to make it so that pure text and static image ads are allowed for this site, because i still want to help somehow. how about setting up a patreon page
