The writers corner

After talking with a few other members of the Hub it seems that there are a few of us how enjoy writing, And as anyone who writes knows it can sometimes be pretty tricky. So I think a thread just for us to talk and help each other might be a good idea.

We can discuss story ideas and collaborations.

I'm game. Thinking of something like what a lot of old GMod animators used to do, and maybe have a "Ping-pong" story? 2+ writers sign up, get in an order, and take turns continuing a story with manips, original art, etc... with text. The only direction to give to the person after you is what's in your portion of the story, so a lot of the fun comes from a story taking unexpected turns.

Well,actually there was this TTT scenario that I'd been thinking of but since not every one enjoys TTT (that is 'Turning The Tables') I'm not sure if anyone wants to hear of it.

A Round Robin, I've worked on a few before with a friend. We took turns writing chunks of a single chapter. A few paragraphs send it to the other guy he adds some sends it back. It can be fun.

Well, it's nothing that well thought out but I'm fond of it.

Basically, a fortune teller with hypnotic eyes tells the fortune of a young girl but the crystal ball she uses shows her own hypnotic eyes and hypnotizes her a long with the girl.

Like I said it needs a bit of work but I like it.

This is pretty intriguing. Maybe having a partner to bounce things off of would help me to finish a story for a change.

Sounds good. I'll keep this thread in mind for any ideas I might want to bounce off of others, or if I feel something I want to work on will require more than just me.

I have heard there is writing and writers here? I have not any ideas of my own but I'd love to try and help others with their's if need be.

I'll definitely post something when I have it. Should I use Google Docs, Paste Bin, Writing.com or something else? What's your preference?

Google Docs is pretty easy to look up, But so is Paste Bin. Whichever you prefer.
