idk if anyone will use this or not but i modified danbooru-grabber to work with hypnohub + fetch tags defined by the user
i am currently tired and red so i will drop a link to the pastebin tomorrow

So it essentially just downloads all images from the designated tag(s) and saves them locally?

Yeah basically you summed it up lol.
There are 2 versions im dropping, one just downloads new tags, the 2nd one was made for the mercy botnet i helped making.
Version 1 fetches all pictures with tags normally
Version 2 uses sendmail to alert the user how much new porn was downloaded, places all files in a cache and then syncs it with your entire collection, deleting all duplicate md5 values

Its very awful because i wrote it at 2am but it works, just make sure you have linux + urllib and requests. If you dont have a sendmail relay setup just delete the last line.
Tell me if you have any issues
late update but this code is SHIT and only grabs the first 200 lines

I remember getting <<github.com/Nandaka/DanbooruDownloader | danbooruDownloader>> to work here without too much trouble.

Alternately, if we're talking about ways to download boorus, lemme shill <<hydrusnetwork.github.io/hydrus | Hydrus>>. It's meant more as a tagging software (i.e. a way to have a local booru), but it has the ability to download from various boorus and sites, too. Plus subscriptions that search for new images regularly. It's a good deal more complicated to setup and get working, however.

I prefer danbooru-grabber as i can just put it on any linux server and it will run with a crontab no problem.
