need some help from musically-inclined hub members
I've got a piece in mind that will use visual music effects as a hypno method, and plenty more similar ideas for future pieces. I like to give attention to detail where I can; but even though I was in the band for the majority of my youth, I'm not gifted in music theory and am definitely not a composer.

Can any of you link or even write out some sheet music for me of some good hypnotic-esque bass rhythms? Something that I can use as an accurate visual reference for my art? I think I can still read sheet music, at least ^^ Bass clef only please.

Well, I'm not 100% sure what kind of hypnotic-esque bass rhythms you're looking for, but this was one of the first to come to mind for me. www.scribd.com/document/7...-Level-42-Lessons-in-Love

Here's the song for reference if it's kinda what you're going for. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFvnzUl1rq8

Not a bad song, a nice easy rhythm- but certainly not Mark King's best work. Granted, he tends to be a bit more frantic, and he's a fantastic slap-bass player. (See Mr. Pink www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKI8pFqWm0s)

Thanks Savior, that's definitely a start :-) Ideally I suppose I'm thinking more R&B style songs, but I do like what you linked. Not to diminish your choice, but as long as it's not just random notes, it's a good start.
