Super Mario Odyssey...SORRY. :^|
A few hours ago, i watch the trailer for the new Super Mario game.
I am very amazed by this game, I have to admit that Nintendo surprised me a lot with this game.

But i read the comments, many people say... Odissey is a copy of Sonic Adventure or Sonic Unleashed.
His arguments are based only on Mario doing a "Spin-Dash" or exploring a city with normal people.

Guys...this is a bullshit right?

Friendly reminder that Super Mario Sunshine was also compared to Sonic Adventure when it came out.

It's pretty much either people making a joke or parroting one particular person with a pre-existing hatred of everything with a Nintendo logo on it.

To be fair, the comparison is much more apt here.

Friendly reminder that Unleashed's actual japanese name is <<gamefaqs.akamaized.net/box/6/3/5/95635_front.jpg|Sonic World Adventure>> and beyond just the city, there's a lot of similarities.

I refuse to believe people are comparing it to Sonic Unleashed unironically.

It does have a more open-world vibe though, which I love.

Maybe at night, when the full moon rises, the Mario we know shall disappear. In his place will be a short, fat, greedy man in yellow who brawls his way through stages.

Uhmmm... shouldn't Mario be a human being? Why are there realistic humans? I thought every human in the Mario world was drawn in that style. This whole concept of mario being 1 m tall and cartoony compared to humams seems bullshit to me, and yes it reminds me of Sonic Adventure when Sonic walked in a city full of normal looking human office workers that complained about the economic crisis.

That was the first thought I had. It's pretty jarring.

Super Mario *Odyssey (not Odissey).

Sorry. Don't know why that typo is bugging me so much. Normally I'm able to overlook them when they look like they were made because someone was spelling it the way it sounds. For some reason, though, the fact that Odyssey has been spelled with an "i" instead of a "y" bothers me. You don't have to change it if you don't want to though.

So basically, Mario the "Were-Wario"? I'd be fine with a Mario game like that. Now that I think about it, there's probably a flash game out there somewhere that uses that concept as a core game mechanic.

I for one can't wait for them to amend this problem and finally play as Bob Hoskins Mario.

The Pest? Never heard of it. Sounds like it'd be some sort of insect based horror movie though. If it is, then I don't want to see it.
