Heya peoples. Well my Valentine's Day has been extreme shit :/ For the 20th (or rather 13th since I can't remember that long) year in a row :/ *sigh* I just hate this stupid holiday and everything about it. But since this isn't the vent room thread and that thread has been locked RIGHT before I was about to rant about it, I won't.

So instead I'm making this thread to hear all your stories of today, or how past ones went. Maybe hearing all your happy stories can help ease the pain of mine, or if you had bad ones maybe I can find someone to sympathize with.

So please tell me how today went for all you and your lovers or dates. The best or worst ones you can remember, go ahead, please, I could use a good or bad story now.

i wish i could say more but unfortunately i dont have anyone for that but my mom that i love and who is the only parent of mine left, she absolutely means the world to me and i feel that couldent live without her, and then theres my mistress who i share the samething with!

My day started with a dream that my ex-best friend forgave me and we started hanging out again. Then, you know, I woke up.

Today was pretty good for me. I got a free sub at Subway and played Eternal Sonata most of the day, which was fun.

Really, there's no reason why this day should be any different than any other day.

It's not supposed to be sarcasm or make fun of you, it was just him trying to advice you on something free that might cheer you up.

I bought last week an album collection by a duo/trio band that makes 50's inspired Pop music. Really cute stuff, very fitting for today. Band's called the Yearning, I like em a lot and recommend to anyone else that wants to give em a try. Listened to their stuff while doing some cleaning up in my dorm :3

I'll never be able to understand why being single bothers people so much. Finding your life partner shouldn't be easy- this is the person you're supposed to want to spend like 80+ years with after all. Judging by how much divorce rates have skyrocketed, more people need to step back and chill.

Which is what I do. I don't mind being single. Can do whatever I want, when I want it. Sure it can get lonely at times, but I got friends and family for that. To all the lonely hearts out there, remember, FireMario86 loves you <3

Oh no, the problem isn't me being single. In fact I have a girlfriend. A very loving one. My problem is that every Valentine's Day ends up being a HORRIBLE day for me no matter what. Every time. Everything from my dinner exploding in my face as I cook it, me getting stood up for a Valentine's Day dance, and having a blackout during said dance, spraining my ankle, getting detention for a fight that I didn't start, breaking my leg, and getting a black eye from a homophobe.

Yeah I do NOT have a good history with Valentine's Day

I just have the standard "singles' blues" that occurs for millions. Doesn't help that I had a girlfriend that I enjoyed spending Valentine's with for two to three years before we broke up, so I remember how fun it can be when you're in a relationship.

At this point, I just send greetings and some candy to my mom and grandma before going back to being irritated about my circumstances.

For me no difference between today and every other day of my life. Do wish you had better luck with it though.

This isn't a reply to StepfordCrimson specifically or anything, just in relation to the topic at hand in general terms.

But when you've spent over 12 years pining for a lost romantic relationship that isn't the same anymore, and you wish you could have back the way it was, but knowing you can't, picking one specific holiday out of the year to feel sad about it, becomes pretty pointless and inconsequential to have any feelings about it one way or the other, anymore.

Especially when you've already accepted it and was forced to move on, and deal with it, even though that void of missing it is still there, and can't be filled by anything. Just having to accept the cold, hard, true fact that a part of your heart is gone and it isn't coming back.

So I have no feelings about this day at all. I don't feel sad about it, I don't find any merit in it, it just becomes your basic, average, everyday, run-of-the-mill Tuesday, at this point.
