Rather straightforward: what are some MC scenes that you think the English dub really captured well? It doesn't even necessarily have to be anime.

Funny you mention that. The dub voice for Kurumu is unbelievably hot imo. My favorite is episode 10 of Season 2. The scene where her and Moka are hypnotically seduced is... well fantastic.

I remember that episode, it was a bit weird and good at the same time. Honestly, I can't think of any, but I have seen hundreds of them.

i remember reading the rosario manga back in ye olde shounen jumpe days and there not being any hypnosis in the first few chapters

That's because Brina Palencia is excellent.
Also, Ghost Hunt episode 2 will always be one of my favorite hypnosis scenes in anime, and the dub for that scene makes it very easy to enjoy. Also, Sailor Moon R ep. 41, specifically the Viz Media dub, is great.

There's a shit ton of mind control in Sailor Moon. The episode I mentioned is specifically one of the infamous encounters with Prince Demande. If you're like me and had only seen the original English dub of the scene before, do yourself a favor and check out the new dub of it. A lot was removed from the original dub version. Some of the best parts involve Sailor Moon going from struggling to limp, a wonderful blank expression, and a moment where Sailor Moon falls to her knees and nearly kisses Prince Demande's hand in subservience.

You remember/read wrong. The chapter where they introduce Kurumu (which is in Volume 1 so early chapter) has the main character being hypnotized by her a few times over. It's one of the only anime episodes that's even remotely accurate to the manga.
