The Musical Thread
(If this has already been done before, if this belongs somewhere to another thread, or if you find this thread to be contrary to any guidelines, feel free to lock/delete this, mods.)
I saw we had a "Movies you just watched thread", and a bunch of threads about hypno in different media, and a "General Media News Thread", and probably some more I've forgotten, so on a whim, I decided ; hey, why not ? I like music, I love comparing my tastes to other peoples' and everything, and this Hub is slowly becoming a real community, so why not have a music thread ? Y'know, the stuff you like and the stuff you just discovered, something like that. After all, you don't really know someone till you know which music they listen to... or something.
So I guess the way this could go is, when posting your first post :
-Start by introducing your musical tastes (year/decade/century ? genre ? bands ? albums ? specific songs ?, etc.) ;
-And then talk about which piece of music you've discovered/listened to last.
Of course, these are just general guidelines, you're free to post as you wish, though let's at least keep it generally related to music for the sake of non-redundancy with the "Hello!" thread.
I'll start :
Though I have rather eclectic taste in music, I mostly like rock, and I mostly like rock from the twentieth century, particularly from the sixties to the nineties (though I don't really care too much for most of the eighties), and among those decades I mostly like either punk rock, hard rock, or progressive rock. My (current) favorite bands are Deep Purple, Bad Religion, The Clash, The Beatles, and some more modern ones like Arcade Fire or Muse (EDIT : forgot an important one, namely Pink Floyd). Pop, rap, jazz, blues, country and folk generally don't bother me, though my tastes are more limited.
Last great discovery ? The song "Culture War", from the deluxe edition of Arcade Fire's third album, The Suburbs.
