Do you guys ever just listen to a song while playing a game or doing a task? To the point where you associate the song with that task.

Weird as it sounds, I like to listen to The Shogun’s All Star Theme from Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing Transformed while playing as Boba Fett in either of the recent battlefront games. (I just think it fits! I dunno why!)

I listen to music or watch videos while drawing all the time. And yes, looking at certain parts of a picture I've done absolutely reminds me of whatever I was watching while drawing it. =)
I can never listen to anything while writing or reading, though, no idea how you do that. X)

I usually either listen to one of the albums I have saved to my computer, or (more often) put on YouTube videos in the background. Usually stuff like Vinesauce, Brutalmoose, ProJared, Criken, RedLetterMedia, YMS... there's a lot, I guess.

There's still some games I associate with certain albums. These days I just have an ever-expanding playlist of stuff I put on if I get the chance.

I remember reading somewhere that listening to music or videos while you're drawing might distract your brain somewhat and it could give you slightly worse results in your work. Not that it matters very much but it's still pretty interesting.

Anyway games soundtrack are meant not to intrude on the action, so things like managment game soundtracks make for a good background music.

I barely listen to music at all, I tend to use podcasts, audiobooks or youtube stuff when I'm either working on arts or playing a game without much of a story going on in it. That said I really should catch up on some actual TV shows I've been meaning to watch instead on constantly putting on Super Best Friends LPs over and over.

I usually just put on a youtube playlist or mix. Maybe put on an album or a videogame OST. I'm rather partial to Metroid and Kirby tracks while either writing or coding.
