Black Wave's Project Pitches (Give your feedback to get a free sketch!)
Update, 4/3:
Thank you so much to everyone who's come aboard as a patron! Thanks to you, we've got two ambitious projects that will be funded and ready to get underway in the coming months! Read all about them <<www.patreon.com/blackwave|here>>, under the "Goals" section. The first of these projects is designed for anyone who's ever wanted drawings of themselves hypnotized, but who doesn't have a character design in place for artists to work with. I'll be picking a random patron at the end of April to design a fully-fledged and ready-to-serve avatar for, which means you have a chance to get in on that action for as little as $1.
I am also still accepting feedback for sketches! If you head over to my Patreon page, and tell me what would get you interested in pledging, I'll sketch any character you want, free~.

Thanks again, people. I truly couldn't do this without you.

Original post, 3/17:
Project Pitches are tiered rewards on my <<www.patreon.com/blackwave|Patreon>> that correspond to a robust, fully fleshed-out project proposal that I submit to you, the people. If you like the proposal, pledge as much or as little as you want. If the target dollar amount per month associated with that project is reached in a specified amount of time, it will get made. If not, it will either be scrapped, or retooled into something more desirable.

Since I need your feedback to make this work, I'm offering a free sketch of any character (hypnotized or lucid, your choice) to everyone who leaves a comment in this thread telling me what would make you most interested in becoming a patron! Feel free to suggest any changes you would make to any proposed project, to reward tiers, or anything else you would find compelling in a Patreon!

Please note that I reserve the right to decide what constitutes legitimate feedback. ("Git gud" gets you no sketch.)

So, looking at the patreon, the first thing I see is that there's only one reward tier, going through the projects that are slated, I'd recommend using a poll system such as you used in the drawing by committee pictures, with additional perks being given at higher tiers, such as one tier's votes counting as 2 or one tier can suggest poll options. The second thing is that the first project is unambitious to put it politely, which is understandable since it is at a $10 a month, which isn't a lot of money to support it, but for a first project, it might be more feasible to expect return on something like a short 3 page comic about hypnotizing Haruko to get on the Holiday Couch, rather than just a single image. Another thing I've seen a lot of patreons do is a monthly sketch commission for a certain tier of patron, as well as a discount on commission for certain tiers.

EDIT: Also, from watching some of your streams, you could hold polls for what should be drawn in a weekly stream or something of that nature.

I'll have to agree there. If this is just starting out on Patreon, then this is somewhat understandable that you only have a 1 tier deal. But there will likely be more patrons that will come to you and would be willing to pay more so there has to be like a higher amount of tiers that allow more than just Discord access like maybe a colored drawing monthly to the higher paying Patrons...that would get me in there

Thanks, I believe I can get somewhere using these ideas. Much appreciated! Let me know who you'd like me to sketch for you.

Thank you, this is actually my second run on Patreon, and I'm trying to avoid the mistakes of my previous attempt. One of the big problems last time was the way Patreon prizes and rewards completely eclipsed my output, leaving almost no room for passion projects. If I were to do giveaways, it would honestly have to be limited to something like a $100 tier, at least, even for just a single-character drawing a month to prevent the same things from happening. Unless of course I were to get enough in pledges to be able to quit my night job. Dare to dream big. X)
Thank you for the feedback. You get a sketch, so let me know who you'd like to see. =)

So, it's a good first step, but the only option other than $1 is the next tier at $10, you could probably grab a few more supporters by offering a $5 tier and making that the base entry for the polls, then make a $10 pledge worth 2 votes and so on. If you want to keep the tiers as they are for rewards, I'd still highly recommend finding a good reward for a $5 pledge.

Also that Fortune is great

Thank you. Twice over, in fact, both for contributing, and for the feedback. =) I have indeed added a $5 reward, so now folks can get a sketch for supporting me at that tier. Speaking of rewards for support! I've reached out to you on Patreon about your complimentary commission and about voting. Hope to hear from you soon!

Just a heads up about some stuff you've got up on your page, Patreon's Terms of Use says you can't "Use raffles, or any prizes based on chance, as a reward", which it sounds like some of your projects might be (i.e. Induction Inclusivity). I know there are content creators who use rewards like this, and I've also heard about people getting in trouble for it. Obviously I can't tell what will happen in your case but I just thought I'd point it out, in case you're unaware.

Thanks, I'm hoping I've skirted this rule by having them be "goals" instead of "rewards". My understanding of this policy is that a reward tier with random results could be considered gambling, which is a legal liability for the company. However, since people don't buy directly in to goals the same way, I don't believe it carries the same implication.
Anyway, it's appreciated. I'm not sure if you're planning to sign on, but I guess that counts as feedback~. Let me know if you'd like a sketch. =)

As much as I'd like to help out, I'm not really in a position to with my funds unfortunately. I wouldn't feel right accepting a free sketch with the feedback I provided either so I'll hold off for now. Thanks for the offer though!
