Some reliables ocr? (to translate Japanese)
I found some interesting images on a page and these images include text (most of them are written in Japanese). I would like to know what is written in them, does anyone know a good OCR? I use this (www.newocr.com/), but when I translate Japanese, most of the time the sentences do not make sense.

I recall hearing on these forums someone mention one called KanjiTomo way back when. Not sure if it's exactly reliable, though.

Thanks, it seems to be more useful than the one I used before

CopyFish OCR extention on Chrome works greatly for up to 2 or 3 lines per view, then you can paste the result to Google for translation.

I tend to make use of a mix of KanjiTomo and Capture2Text depending on what I need OCR for. KanjiTomo is really convenient when looking up individual kanji when I'm translating doujins or whatever, but Capture2Text tends to be more useful for games since it'll just grab all the text and put it into your clipboard.

Only real problem with Capture2Text is that it tends to run into quite a few issues with some characters, so more often than not you'll end up needing to correct things a bit if you do use it, but it's generally not too bad as long as you keep an eye out for when it gives you the wrong kanji.
