Gradual Brainwashing/Corruption in a Groundhogs Day (Time Loop) Setting,

Have you ever seen a story where the protagonist ends the day(s), only to wake up and re-live that same day(s) and everything happens in the same order that it did the first time, over and over again?

In these stories, the protagonist tends to be the only one who knows that everything is repeating itself, and no matter what they tell anyone, they'll just forget it in the next loop, and to navigate each loop, they face the challenge of memorizing every interaction, sequence and outcome they have access to (Not unlike a video game with multiple endings) in order to find out how to escape the loop.

This kinda of plot-line can be seen in famous works like the classic Groundhogs Day staring Bill Murray, the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, or as I stated earlier, just the nature of restarting a linear story based game with branching paths and multiple endings.

Well, here's a kinda of hypnosis plot I thought of inspired by this. what if, In this kind of repeating loop, there was also an antagonistic force present who could corrupt, manipulate, and hypnotize the bystanders, and remember the events of the last loop just like the protagonist.

And also, when the timeline resets, the triggers, the commands, and the amount of corruption left behind by the antagonist force remains in their victims as well, possibly even including the protagonist.

The Villainous force will then set out to spread out his influence, learn where ever one starts off at the beginning of the loop, and then trap the protagonist with no hope of escape while they take over the area?

There's been a couple of different fantasies I had using this premise, and I'd like to know if there's anyone else who's intrigued by this?

"Manipulation"

Ground Hod Day movie got that one though. It's believed that it took hundreds of years for Bill Murray character reliving that day over and over again. One of his bad deed is to get close to women (one at a time) and learn about them slowly until Murray knew everything about them and get laid with each one of them. He's so good at it he knew everyone in town and their little secrets.I have this feeling that he went mad several time during the loop as well.

That sounds like a challenge.
