An actual discussion about worldbuilding for a hypnosis fetish site
Okay, so i know alot of us on the hub have our own characters and whatnot. But has anyone ever discussed the idea of where all of these mesmerizing shenanigans takes place? Do we just have our own little sovereign nation devoted to our lustful hedonism?

It's never truly been established what sort of world or worlds the Hub comprises of.

That's an interesting question.

Well, we all interact with a lot of characters from cartoon, anime, video games, etc. And a lot of our OCs have special powers or anatomy.

Maybe we live in our own separate world with it's own rules and systems. Anytime we want to interact with characters from various fandoms we can simply create them and change the world to suit our needs. That could explain how we could have snake people, Pokemon, demons, drogonborn, robots, etc.

Or maybe we live in the normal world and all the characters we interact with are normal people who are under our control and ordered to play characters from our fantasies.

It's all just a simulation

Kinda like a mix of your suggestion and DarkMask first one imo.

The Hub in itself could be its own universe, filled with hypno-stuff, and it could be possible to snatch characters from other dimensions and bring them to the Hub.

Could be a bit lame as a "explain-all" theory, but I feel like it would be the most efficient and straightforward.

If I ever somehow manage to get myself to work on a hypnohub game using OCs, I'll probably have them in a shared world of sorts and like live in a town/city

Alternate take on the canon characters: we take advantage of the infinite multiverse to pull these characters out of bad end versions of their worlds. Then brainwash them into believing they're a part of ours. Multiverse recycling.

Actually, for the longest time, I liked to think there was a dedicated setting for OCs which were made for kink art. I almost thought that idea was unspoken canon with stuff like Hypnohub Theater and a number of collaborative drawings with tons of characters on screen.

Heck, if someone wanted to flesh out that setting and explain why lots of third party characters show up, you could alternatively say that the outside characters are spot-on cosplayers being hypnotized. You know, someone would undergo that for a fetish shoot or a special night of kinkplay. (No, I swear I'm not biased towards the idea of hypnotized characters in cosplay)

I could totally get behind a behind-the-scenes deal like that. I say this because I once saw a fun image sequence that Iamaneagle did for that wolf-looking girl Chloe. The whole scenario was that Chloe was in a modern setting and casually talking with a fanboy of hers. Instead of just being an anthro in a jungle, she was actually a porn actress who played a part in a Kaa-themed flick or two. That gave a good explanation for how Chloe encountered a hungry Indian python over and over and yet hasn't been killed in a snake-related accident.

However, that does beg the question about where the giant reptiles keep coming from...

I did think about this in regards to my comic but decided nothing I came up with would make sense and if I had to stick to it would be limiting. Then made a comic making fun of that post #66970

Actually cut a joke from that about the comics taking part in something like Area X complete with it's own Southern Reach observing everyone. And another about Edge and Jess living in the House from House Of Leaves. Just to really play up the "This setting does not obey natural laws" thing

Multidimensional travellers. Also Hub OCs inevitably end up seeking out MC and that misses the point for me.

I had a plan that this would all be taking lace with in a city of sorts.
I've been trying to create one for quite a while now.

I like to think there is like a city from the old cartoon network bumpers where we all go through our daily lives with the hypno stuff being part of our 'series'

So you wanna be a master?

Understand the secrets and have some fun!

(man, I have to be one of the few people who doesn't detest Tracey, but then again, I have a liking for the unliked, I don't mind Scrappy Doo; I also have a tendency to dig in my heels and like them more when told my opinion is wrong)

I like to imagine the city being split into two areas based on hypnosis strength, Realistic and Hollywood

Topic expansion!

What would the roles of your OCs be like in such a city

I'll start with my own (I think this has to be the first time I've mentioned her on Hypno-Hub)

My character, Kerei 'Kerry' Tamataka can vary, she can either be a College Psychology Professor, a Stage Hypnotist, or a College Psychology Professor who does stage shows during school breaks.

As for an image of her, the HBL version has two pictures here

I mean, Scrappy wasn't an awful character when he first appeared. It's just that when the company decided to cut other characters and have Scrappy fill in that role, that people decided to hate on him. I guess the same could be said for Tracey as he replaced Brock, who was actually really well liked (to be honest, he's probably my second favourite character in Pokemon, behind James of Team Rocket. ) What exactly did Tracey have going for him that made him stand out from Brock?

I think the problem is that they took away Brock, but not Misty. If they had replaced both Brock and Misty, then I don't think there would have been much backlash behind Tracey. (Or it could have been twice as bad, who knows?)
