Sleepychat is shutting down on the 31st of March
Seems like Tumblr kicking out all adult content wasn't the last major setback for the hypno-community, as according to a message by the owner of Sleepychat, the probably most popular hypnosis chat channel is shutting down at the end of this month.
The message in question:
Ely the Admin here,
On Sunday, March 31st, Sleepychat will shut down. After years of maintaining Sleepychat, I've come to the decision that I can no longer support it. The reasons being, most notably, that it's become more of a hassle for me than any benefits can offset, that I'm losing money by paying for the hosting, logging, and database, and that I'm finally deciding that I have no obligation to keep it running through said hassle and financial loss.
Here are some important things you should know:
Once Sleepychat shuts down, no chat will be possible. The entire site will become inaccessible. The only thing remaining will be a static page showing the site has shut down.
All logs from the past 365 days will be archived and stored for one year in the case something is needed to fulfill a legal obligation.
The database (consisting of user accounts and ban information) will be archived and stored for one year in the case something is needed to fulfill a legal obligation.
I will maintain ownership of Sleepychat's name, brand, domain, and code indefinitely Nothing will become open source, and I will not "give the site" to anyone.
I will not be recommending any alternative, as the one I was going to recommend decided to spam ads on Reddit, which I don't agree with.
Call me a horrible human being for not saying sorry, but I no longer feel any attachment to the site or its community, and it's nothing to me but stress now. However, I do hope all of you find a new home elsewhere, and that whoever manages it is less of an ass than I am. As easy as that'd be, it doesn't seem that'll be the case any time soon...

Hope someone will create an alternative using a similar website structure to allow the community to migrate, if not then text hypnosis will be in a very dire situation and hard to get.
Does anyone know any good alternatives?
