Devil May Cry 5 (Spoiler thread)
So I just finished DMC5 and it was well worth the wait. Wanted to start a thread here to see what the DMC fans from the hub thought of the game as a whole. This is a spoiler thread so if you don't want to be spoiled don't read further. I'll still spoiler my first thoughts just to be safe.

Man what an ending! I knew Vergil would come back even from the first trailer tease but seeing him back still feels unreal. The fight was pretty solid too though I feel like he could've used some new moves instead of mostly recycling his DMC3 stuff. Hopefully the Dante Must Die difficulty will spice his moveset up a bit. Nero getting his devil trigger gave me goosebumps and using it to just beat down Vergil felt so good after losing a good couple of times against him with Dante. Seeing the two brothers finally get along too also put a smile on my face and just gets me so excited to see where the story goes after this. Hopefully DMC6 won't be a 10 year wait but I want Itsuno to make Dragon's Dogma 2 before he touches DMC again.

My favourite part of DMC5 is the DmC fans trying so hard to get people to like their game and how "amazing" it is
They should just admit they hate Japanese games lol

Anyways, DMC5 is amazing, please go play it

...I find this comment funny because of all the irony in it...

I can't tell if that's a jab at me or not, but speaking of irony, there's a sweet form of it seeing those fans feeling what the OG DMC felt when DmC was revealed
I will say DmC is better than DMC2, but not by much

How long do you think it'll take for Vergil to be released as a playable character?

No clue. Depends on if they can come up with a plausible scenario for him like in DMC 4:SE

If they were to make Vergil playable in the SE edition then I hope they would consider making a short add on campaign for him. Maybe have a small set of missions that act as a bonus epilogue which follows Dante and Vergils journey back to the human world. It would be asking for a lot but I can dream.

I doubt they'd do an epilogue. That would require a winner to the duel.

I am happy they are finally using all the material from previous games and the anime

And even the old novels (Which I thought were non-canon)

I'll spoiler tag this in case people haven't heard on how to get the secret ending yet

So, I assume everyone here's at least heard of the secret ending you can get by beating Urizen in the prologue. What I haven't seen anyone talking about is the other Urizen fight you're supposed to lose. Devil King I think it was called. I beat the prologue version after a few tries but that one doesn't have a full level preceding him in case you lose. Also that tentacle attack is the bane of my existence.

Nevermind, can confirm it's the exact same ending. Kinda disappointed in that.

Okay, I have to say this:

Nero may now be my favorite character in the entire franchise, and here is why:

He gained his own damned DEVIL TRIGGER!!! And unlike his daddy or uncle, he doesn't need a Devil Arm to use one. No. He does it with his own damn willpower and determination!

And then he used it to KICK VERGIL'S ASS!!! Yes, Vergil was still winded from fighting evenly with Dante, but I really don't think that changes just how awesome it was, especially after giving Dante one hell of a bitch slap to the face!

AND THEN YOU GET TO USE IT IN NEW GAME+

NERO RULES!!! GRANDSON OF SPARDA FOR THE WIN!!!

Also, glad to hear that DMC 2 now takes place before 4, and that TAS is apparently canon-ish.
