Ads still too close to the buttons
I know that I've posted a thing similar to this before, but this is still an issue. I made a comment and the ad is so close to the post comment button that I'm pretty sure it was intersecting the button.

I feel like the ads need to be moved down even just a bit more, because this s a bit ridiculous.

yeah it's kinda concerning that the ads were placed this close to a button that could lead to misclicks :/

I know that the people who run the site can't control which ads are placed on the site, but could something at least be done to rearrange things? So that at least to minimize the risk of misclicks?

Bullshit.

If they apply this css:

div#comments {
margin-bottom: 2em; /* 1em could work as well, but that is more sneaky */
}

Everyone would be happy already.

Anyway, the kind of ads is poorly chosen; Why serving ads about IRL porn while most of the porn here is drawn or rendered?

Also the (speed of) the animations work in the contractive way because they're annoying rather than eye-catching.

If there were non-animated ads for online drawing tutorials, the newest Wacom with discounted price or the newest VGA card to render even more smoothly. Visitors will likely click on it.

Probably because it's not 'respectable' to do so. Seems like the only people willing to advertise on porn sites are people trying to give others viruses to steal information.
Which is why it's so dangerous to have the ads so close to the buttons. And honestly, it makes it seem almost intentional.

I'm not trying to imply that the people who run this site are being malicious, or trying to give viruses, but that's how it comes off in my opinion.
I know the mods are good people, but I can't say I have the feel the same trust to about the people who make these ads.

Most companies are prude like fuck. It's all about "retraining a clean image" because of "good PR".

I mean, one time they stole Zko's artwork and used it as an ad.

I get that they only get sketchy looking porn site ads and have a free virus ads, but they can still make an effort to have the ads be separated from where a misclick could happen

As an alternative, donating to the site's patreon allows you to turn ads off entirely. You just need to remember to add your email to this form in your settings after becoming a supporter and boom: imgur.com/a/1JXj625

alternative or not, the regular version shouldn't have the ads dangerously close to things like the post comment button

if it was pay or be unsafe, people would just jump to ad blockers and the site gets fucked over; or just stop coming to the site

Yeah, generally I think patreon works better if you offer something positive, rather than offering to take something negative away. Since the site's code is rather difficult to tame though I'm not sure what kinds of things they could offer as additional account features that would be do-able...

Even with ad blockers, the ads still show up. No matter how many adblockers I have, or how many times I manually block the ads, they still show up.

I feel like we shouldn't have to become a patron in order to not have ads dangerously close to the buttons.

If the ads weren't so close to the buttons, I wouldn't have the adblockers on on this site so that the site can still get money. But as things are, I doubt I'll be getting rid of my ad block anytime soon.

u-blocks element picker (the dropper icon, or just right click and choose block element) can block them the reason normal ad blockers dont work is because they're placed in elements similar to things used to run key site features, i think
