So my character Ferby's backstory has changed, she's a trans woman. And that got me thinking about using the transgender tag on here for her rather than futa. Should I use both? Just one or the other? Or is there already a thread that discusses this that I don't know about? I might just add the transgender tag to the pics of her on the site so there's no confusion about her, but I wanted other people's thoughts on the issue.

The transgender tag isn't used for trans characters, it's used specifically for gender transformation (it's not really used the same way on hypnohub as it is in general context).
