Favorite hypnosis tropes?
What are your favorite tropes for hypnosis content? I can start, when the person brags that they cannot be hypnotized (for various reasons), only to be hypnotized quite easily.

I feel we should just have a sticky thread with this question and all the answers to it, seeing the number of times this has been asked.

Hear hear.

My favorite trope, if I'm being honest, isn't even a trope (that would imply it being common or known in some way). No, my favorite thing is the potential of total control- like directing a movie scene, sculpting a temporary personality in the subject that I can completely predict and make a scene around. Maybe make their body helplessly obey while their mind slowly breaks down in fear, only to then switch to flipping between "ravenous, no inhibitions, sexy mode" and "totally shy mode"? I know those things exist as tropes as well, but it's more the concept that can be used to drive them that I haven't seen capitalized on.
