Has anyone heard from foolycooly recently?
They seem to have been radio silent for at least fifteen days now. I'm a bit worried because I've got a commission with them.

Mezz has been gone for far longer, and as far as I'm aware, it's for personal reasons. Dunno the details beyond that.

In Fooly's case, not sure what happened either. I highly doubt they'd intentionally leave and not tell anyone, so best thing to do is not speculate, and simply wait and see when they'll come back.

That's all very well for some people, but some of us paid money to them and haven't received anything back yet.

We don't know what's going on or what they may be dealing with.
These are people many of the site's users are familiar with, so it's unlikely they'd just ditch the place so suddenly and without good reason. Not impossible, but unlikely.
Just keep a cool head. There's some artists who take up to 2 years to complete commissions, no matter how small. Life gets in the way sometimes, and this is a porn site. I sure hope their priorities would be with real life, jobs, friends, family, etc... regardless of obligations here.
That being said, some users here have twitter or other social media you could use to contact them. Perhaps try finding those avenues?

Let's just not assume anything and wait a bit. A couple months isn't that long in the grand scheme of things.

And with all due respect, such people should not be taking commissions under any circumstances.

I understand that, though none of us are in a position to do anything about it at the moment. It unfortunately just seems like the only thing to do right now is simply wait.

Things come up, emergencies happen, life gets in the way unexpectedly. With that logic, no artist should ever take commissions, lest their child stub a toe and need a bandaid at a moment's notice.

Please try to be understanding. RCBC already made it clear that waiting is the best course of action, so it's probably best we all stop talking and just be patient.

I'm sorry, but the amount of bad luck required for a commission to stretch into the years is extreme and I would say is reaching into "my dog ate it" territory. More generally, I would say that a lot of artists do not realise that charging for their work imposes certain expectations.

Also, communication goes a long way. Either foolycooly is in a very serious position, or they've forgotten to send out brief messages warning of delay, which would at least alleivate uncertainity.

Yes, I do agree that commissions that take over a year (or a very long period of time in general) should not really be considered the norm. Circumstances do indeed come up, though having zero communication or no foreseeable idea of when the comm will be done is ill-advised for both parties involved.

Now, I'm sure we can all agree that there should absolutely be communication going on. Nobody is arguing against it. But without knowing the current circumstances, we shouldn't assume any malice is involved.

So with all that being said, I am asking you guys to please just wait it out and see what happens. If nothing happens after weeks or over a month go by, then consider requesting for a refund from paypal (assuming you paid for a good/service).

That is a fair and level-headed response. I just needed to express my complaints a little, as well as find out if anyone had had any later contact with them.

This all only makes me wonder where Zuneycat has gone.
