To Live (And Learn) Once More, As It Always Should Have
FF7 REMAKE HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE

Now that that's out of my system, I realize that there are quite a few high-profile games that could use this remake treatment that RE2 and FF7 have enjoyed- not just to give us a better version, but what the developers always had in mind- their ambitious thoughts that could only somewhat be codified on the disc. And for eons, one game has always needed this treatment more than any other. Or rather, two games...

Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2.

What would you guys like to see if they gave these two gems the aforementioned rehabilitation plan?

Are you asking what older games we would like to see remakes of?

I guess, if no one has anything they'd like to posit about the Adventure games.

Skies of FREAKING Arcadia! Come on SEGA!!!

Main reason I think it needs a remake is because the moon element system needs a bit of a rework. Seriously, some of the weaknesses were all over the place.

Also, imagine how much more intimidating the Gigas could look now?

NGL, I hate the idea of remaking old games. But I've fallen for playing a couple... FF7 remake being one I'm interested in, as well as metaphorically creaming myself for Spyro Reignited and the Crash remakes.
But one series I'd love to see get remade or at the very least ported to modern platforms, is the original 4 Ratchet and Clank games. I know Sony did a PS3 port, but it was glitchy more often than not, for me. I'd just like to have the games made entirely fresh, but not in the way the series was rebooted... That was just awful. The movie was better than the game, and that's sad.
But if someone did a proper remake, in the same way they did the Reignited trilogy... Oh man, my money would be in their pocket so fast their head would spin.

Yeah, but all those need is a Kingdom Hearts-esque touchup. Those games have aged masterfully, so all they could benefit from now is some HD-ified looks and no loadtimes. Now, the Adventure games are a WHOLE different ballpark.

A lot of people would want to see the voice acting redone, but honestly, I say leave it how it was. To me, at least, cleaning up the audio of scenes like the inafamous <<www.youtube.com/watch?v=ockHHFfZ3b8|"Faker" exchange>> would be a little like scrubbing all the green stuff off of the Statue of Liberty; theoretically an improvement, but it was just iconic the way it was before.

I get what you're saying. It would be like if the removed "You spoony bard!" from all of the Final Fantasy 4 remakes

Even if you cleaned up the Adventure games, I just don't think they would live up to modern standards.

I didn't say the dialogue specifically needed to be changed. If they fixed the audio mix and spacing between lines even a touch, but even just keep the lines themselves, then who really has a problem?
