Downtime explanation

Yesterday i'm sure you noticed that the hub was down. unfortunately this was due to someone getting into the system and bringing it down and when we tried to ban said person he began hopping from one account to another, mainly accounts with weak passwords. The people that keep the site going managed to find a fix for this situation for the time being so the sites back on, for those with short or easy passwords I suggest you change them so that if such a situation happens again it would at least be harder to get in to your account.

Will you ever remove or lighten the DDOS protection? I can no longer access this site in my computer because I use a VPN. Most DDOS protections just do a browser check or have you fill out a capcha, but this website just blocks me

I would hope so. If they're able to tell at all, I think it's not just a good idea, it's all but mandatory in case someone uses the same password for something else.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you mean they "got into the system"? I always kinda assumed ddossing was just advanced spamming.

I can't quit explain it myself cause i'm no expert, all i know is that it was amazing to see it all go down in real time.

The general idea was they were making post that fucked with sites coding, they cracked passwords to use the account to make new post.

it will take time to figure out what accounts have been taken at any point
