What happens if Spider-Man had a hypnotic device?

So, when I was playing Spider-Man on the PS4 (not remastered/PS5 sadly) after I completed the side-quest “Reboot Times Square” which I have to reset every billboard that has LEDs on. Then after completing it, J. Jonah Jameson said Spider-Man has installed a devices all around Time Square to hypnotize the entire New York the “Hypnotism” JJJ archive and I said: “You know that’s not true.” And then I thought of it in my head. “What if there was gadget like that?” Maybe like a brainwashing microchip covered in webs and shoots it right at the fore head or on the back on the neck. True Spider-Man doesn’t do that but if he did, that’s some HypnoHub material! It could happen with the power of imagination and fanfics don’t you think?

Hmmm... it's an interesting idea, but I have a hard time really thinking of what he could or would use for such a thing. Spiders don't really have any sort of "hypnotic" functions in real life, so coming up with a "spider-gadget" around it would be hard, as well as the fact that Peter is pretty much a very... "set in his ways" kinda guy. He already has to deal with villains with hypnotic powers like Mysterio, so it's hard coming up for a reason "why" he would use such methods.

it’s really hard to think about it if there was a Spider gadget based on hypnosis. Since most variations of Spider-Man/Woman/Gwen doesn’t have that.

There was a storyline not too long ago where he used MC tech to turn the Sinister Six into good guys against their wills. Granted, that was Superior Spider-Man (TLDR: Peter died, Doc Ock took over his body.), so maybe that doesn't really count.
