Anybody else just in a "cthulu" mood?
saw somebody else asked what tense their story should be in, and it got me thinking of H.P. Lovecraft.

Truthfully I've always been a little bit interested in Cthulu and such, it's just such an amazing and unique world, which is why it's a shame so few pieces of media can ever capitalize on it. I mean, do you remember Call Of Cthulu (2018)? Exactly.

So yeah, I dunno, I'll probably just do the forbidden knowledge book in Skyrim, very fun if you're a mage, cause there's hella spell tomes. Lots of books too.

Anywho, reply with whatever you think about H.P. Lovecraft's work, or anything, really.

I second that motion. At the Mountains of Madness is not only great suspense (and now in the public domain) but uses the Antarctic setting very well. I’ve been meaning to run a session of either Delta Green or Call of Cthulhu for a while, but few of my friends want to go from an action packed adventure rpg like DnD to a suspense filled mystery game.

I've never read Lovecraft myself, but I can tell you that if you mean that I sometimes feel like I want to sleep really fucking hard and in a way that, if I am disturbed, would cause the literal end of the world, then you could probably say I've been in a "Cthulu mood" somtimes, including now.

Nah

I'm in a Hastur mood

But for real, Great Old One mind control is rarely used for erotic hypnosis

Don't know anything real about Cthulu.
From whenever it's referenced/parodied by something, seems like it's a horror/occult/bizarre universe, so not sure it would be my thing.
And I sure don't understand the concept of a "Cthulhu mood".

There's a similar creature called a <<hypnohub.net/post?tags=mind_flayer+|mind flayer>> that has a lot more works on here than cthulu. You might be interested if you haven't run across it before.
