Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest is getting an anime!

Who else is excited?

I'm nervous that they're gonna be cheap on the animation again, but I'm just so hyped for Fairy Tail to be back.
AND
there's some good hypno scenes in the 100 Year Quest manga (if you missed the posts of them on here) though a couple of them are complete teases and hopefully the anime gives more time to them

Yeah! Me and my friend were talking about it and we came to he conclusion that Hiro Mashima must have a secret hypnosis fetish or something considering all the hypnosis he has in Fairy Tail! I think there was even a scene in the 2nd movie!

I really can't say this is surprising, considering how popular Fairy Tail is.

...But if it overshadows Eden's Zero, I will be very upset.

...Actually, what are the odds they'll make an anime/OVA of Mashima's HEROS?

I mean mind control is a trope in adventure fantasies, I don't think everyone who uses it is into the fetish. It's more often meant to give an excuse for good guys to go against each other, which will happen in 100 Year Quest a couple times.

lol no idea, I need to check out Edens Zero. All I know is its basically sci fi Fairy Tail with Happy now a robot gun thing and Erza's a space pirate.

Not an unfair initial assessment of the show, I will admit. Though it does have more depth than that.

Also, it's more Science Fantasy than Science Fiction. "What's the difference?" I hear you ask: Science Fantasy can still have Dragons.

Oh no...more of Mashima's worst manga getting anime AGAIN, i like RAVE and a little bit Eden Zero but i don't trust Mashima in this "sequel" xD!!

Exactly this. I'm really hoping they expand on those scenes in the anime.

Interesting. Used to be into the series more, but not as much nowadays. Still I like some of the characters though and hypnotized scenes are always welcome. Anyone know which characters got hypnotized in this specific manga?

Start by searching with the tags "fairy_tail comic" on here, there's a fair amount of stuff already posted iirc

would be better if we could search for "manga" directly tbh, but no one's ever really undertaken the task of making that tag

SPOILER WARNING: a friend of mine told me there will be an arc where almost everyone is mind controlled by a white mage and they act and dress as if they were members of some weird cult. Expect 90% of the guild to be controlled including it's strongest members like Laxus. Ofc almost all female characters are affected by this.

Also in an arc that happened later, someone told me a person had the ability to turn people into yokai and brainwash them to become evil and serve her. I know this happened at least to Lucy and possibly to Wendy too.

Of course it's mostly female characters... was hoping for more male characters, but at least there's some. Might give the manga a read\skim or wait for the anime.
