1Agent 8 is an Octoling and is the main protagonist of Splatoon 2: Octo-Expansion. She wakes up in the deep sea metro with no memories and is greeted by Captain Cuttlefish. The only reason Captain Cuttlefish doesn't fight Agent 8 is because in their sleep, Agent 8 was humming Calamari Inkantation, a song by the Squid Sisters who are Captain Cuttlefish's granddaughters. Later, Agent 8 and Captain Cuttlefish meet an artifical intellegence telephone (Commander Tar Tar) who reveals she is test subject 10,008. Captain Cuttlefish finds "ten thousand and eight" too long for a name and calls them Agent 8 instead. After collecting all 4 "thangs" to go to "the promised land", it turns out the Ai telephone is genocidal and that the 4 thangs form a giant blender, with the sole purpose of turning successful test subjects into sanitized ink, which is used to "sanitize" Octarians and Octolings. Luckly, Marina manages to send an alert signal and Agent 3 recieves it and saves Captain Cuttlefish and Agent 8 from the giant blender. However, Agent 3 gets knocked out in the process, meaning Agent 8 has to leave Captain Cuttlefish and Agent 3 behind. While Agent 8 was making their way back to the surface, the telephone somehow uses the sanitized ink to mind control Agent 3, meaning Agent 8 has to save both Agent 3 and Captain Cuttlefish. Finally, Agent 8 gets to the surface where it is revealed the Ai telephone is actually called Commander Tar Tar and Agent 8, along side Pearl, Marina, Agent 3 and Captain Cuttlefish, has to once again save the world.
