 | In the game [[new_super_mario_bros._u_deluxe|New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe]], [[Nintendo]] added [[Toadette]] to the line up of characters, replacing the original blue [[Toad_(super_mario_bros.)|Toad]].
Nintendo gave Toadette a new power-up that only she can use, the [[super_crown|Super Crown]]. This power-up allows Toadette to transform into a completely different character named [[Peachette]]. Peachette is a carbon copy of [[princess_peach|Princess Peach]] as she has the same floating ability and more importantly, she looks almost exactly the same as Princess Peach with a few minor differences.
When this power-up was announced, fans began to wonder what would happen if other characters could use the [[super_crown|Super Crown]].
On 19 September 2018, a Malaysian artist named Ayyk92 posted a comic strip online. The comic strip depicted what would happen if [[Bowser]] used the Super Crown; and so Bowsette was born.
