In the original Jurassic Park novel, there is a scene that is not in the movie. The IT guy gets bitten by one of the smaller pack-predator dinos.
But this species has a venom that induces a state of false well-being, making you think everything is fine and you can just relax while the predators close in.
Crichton does a good job of describing his thoughts as the venom makes him "realize" that everything is going to be fine, there's no need to be scared, and that it is okay to take a rest for a while.
This is so sexy. I know an episode with an enemy like that in rwby. The grimm (monster) named "apathy" makes people act you like that meme with the dog who's in a burning house who's like "this is fine", like no matter how dangerous the situation is, nobody cares about anything.
There is also episode 13 of "betterman". In this japanese anime a group goes in a places with flowers that release pheromone that force the brain to produce dopamine. It makes the whole group laugh and fool around and even as they know they will die they can't help but laugh and fool around even more! they have a support team that communicates with radio and even though they're far even the support team is affected and laughs/folls around and they even suggest them to take deep breaths of the flowers pheromones.
In the book "Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods?" The MC and his group must cross a place with flowers that emit stuff in the air that makes people laugh and think everything is funny even if the flowers captured people and put them in a potentially lethal situations. At one point the MC is really affected and caught by plants and thought it was the nicest and funniest thing ever (however he was rescued a few minutes later but before he was saved, we knew what he was thinking before he was saved and we were "in his head"). It's in chapter 22 (
