Really? I've met quite a few asexual hypnofetishists. Which seems to be what you're describing there.

Being a psymicon is about a bit more than being an asexual hypnofetishist, but putting that aside for the moment, can you put an approximate number on the asexual hypnofetishists you've met and how you've met them? (i.e., online, IRL, etc.) I've only met two or three in my search.

I created the term "psymicon" to define myself since I had never met anyone like me. Without a word to describe something/someone, how would anyone know that there are others out there?

Hi. XD
Ace hypnokink artist here.
And I mean... borderline sex repulsed level ace.

Can't say I kept careful track but a fair few I'd say. More then 10? One more now I know Luna is Ace. Probably know more then I know about as I don't tend to ask people about their sexuality. Certainly enough that I don't find the idea strange or surprising.

As for where. The normal places? Discord servers, Hypno-Twitter, a couple I know IRL. Pretty sure I've seen posts by a couple of content creators talking about what it means to be Ace in this space but don't recall the names.

Also curious what you'd say the difference is between a psymicon and an asexual hypnofetishist?

Without context, I would not immediately ascribe gender-based sexuality to the former whereas it's spelled out in the latter.

I can only conclude from your posts that you are exceedingly intelligent, sir. Seriously, I'm not entirely sure what you're saying here.

It's hard to explain since, as I said in the definition, it's a spiritual thing. It's a form of pansexuality and asexuality. Additionally, a psymicon is solely a hypno-fetishist and has no other fetishes. Lastly, I'd say there are a lot of other weebish nuances. They're nothing significant, but they make the word feel legit, in a sense. You know?

There are a surprising(?) amount of us, though maybe that's because being ace is still not very "normal" to many people and kink communities are largely centered around sexual activity, so it can be hard to get out there into the open. That's just my experience though, yours may differ.

Psymicon is an interesting term. It sounds familiar but I can't place where I might have heard it. Words take meaning from communal agreement, and sometimes that agreement shifts. If you feel protective about your term staying "yours" in the sense that the definition is static, you may want to mostly keep it for personal use.

Sorry I don't follow. How is it spelled out in the latter? Seems to show a lack of it

Can honestly say I don't know I'm afraid. Not sure what you mean by spiritual or weebish nuances. All seems very vague

If someone tells me they are an asexual hypnofetishist, I am hearing them say they are the A in LGBTQIA+.

That's fair. I'll try to elaborate further at the risk of dispelling the magic. When I say "spiritual," I mean to imply that there is a sentiment to the term that is conveyed in the name. A psymicon romanticizes the psyche (in particular, the subconscious) and the influences thereof. There's a sense of inherent wholesomeness and creativity when using the term. Also, I find it much easier to say than "pan-asexual hypnofetishist with no other fetishes, etc."

I can see the confusion with the whole "weebish nuances" thing, too. The word "psymicon" sounds like something you might find in Japanese colloquialism. It's structured the same way as other Japanese terms, like lolicon and so on. The term is designed to appear to be both Western and Japanese.

Your advice is most appreciated. I do want to protect the meaning of this word I made so now I'm wondering if this thread might not be a liability. ^_^'

I mean I coined the term "Cocknosis" that's now used on Rule34 instead of Hypnotic Penis

Cocknosis -
Cocknosis is the act of Hypnosis using a Phallic Object like a Dildo or Cock to Hypnotise another person in to a trance like state
