I've been around since the way-early days when there were still a bunch of old hypnosis-themed Yahoo! groups (all of which I was too young at the time to legally join, so I had two Yahoo! accounts for the purposes!) where really shitty old manips used to get posted. I've also been around the Collective since the rather early days of... I don't even know, 2004?

Since that point I've been around everything from the Chan to here.

4chan's /d/ --> Hypnochan --> HypnoBooru --> HypnoHub

I've been around a while. Unfortunately, I'm far too much of a lurker to really contribute. I've done a little tag fixing here and there, but little else. I'm hoping to get into manips eventually, since I really need to start giving back to this community.

I found this community shortly before it became the hub. I found it from an IMAGE SET on e hentia that had water marks for the old site, so I googled it as I wanted more pics and was lurking about a week before the site vanished then I found this place. Been here ever since

Anyway, I couldn't help but notice the lack of mention of the Booru or the Hub. When did you find us?

Gaah, totally forgot that part. I lurked on the hub the whole time it was up, and same with here. I just haven't really talked until now.

Huh. I went kinda the other way. hypnochan & booru -> sleepychan & hub -> sleepychan, reddit, /d/ & hub -> reddit, /d/ & hub -> TranceChan, Reddit, #hypno IRC, /d/ & hub.
I've been on /gif/ throughout tough. I'm the guy who gifdumps RIST threads. Oh right, I've lurked on e-hentai for like 7 years and sadpanda for 5. Just started posting.

We'll need to get you a textbook on the rich history of the online hypnosis fetish community.
Hypnochan, never forget.

Joined? Like a few months.
However, I have been lurking around hypnosites for roughly 11 years.

I went through a few aliases, they were very quiet people. H.chan, H.pics, booru, and several related forums.

I actually started in a completely different type of fetish site, a freeze/time stop one. as one way to make someone freeze was via hypnosis, I started to search the chans, until I found Not4chan. I was a semi-lurker there, but I remember that some time before it's dead, there was a treat linking to Hypnochan, were I again wasn't someone to post a lot (I remember that the most posts in a treat were in the SquidOps one: 3 or 4). When it died, I went to Sleepymaid's Sleepychan and the Piper's Domain story site at ASSTR, were I posted some stories. I was at Piper's site that I heard about Hypnobooru , but I only decided to join after it became Hypnohub.

I'm a hypnochan vet. I noticed how slow the /fur/ board was at the time and decided to do something about it. Other people started posting again, but for a time there it kind of felt like I WAS the hypnochan /fur/ board. The good thing about that I was that all the requests I got brought me more manipping fodder than I would have found on my own.

Might be an idea to put a few new choice pics in that e-hentai gallery. Bump it back up to the top of the list!

I'm actually thinking of updating it soon, for our 1-year anniversary.

The way I found this place was an extremely odd journey. I am a professional historian and researcher, as well as an editor for a newspaper at my college. I was studying torture techniques through the ages and was hired by a fella who wanted research for "psychological coercion." At the time I was also working as a part time librarian for the city public library and was assistant supervisor of the archive section. (I have since left the job due to the abominable people who work there...though I will admit that I was the only male librarian which I still find odd).

In any case I was reading on psychological torture and experiments in thought coercion dating back to the high medieval period of Europe and sporadic accounts in China. There were descriptions and methods and...as odd as it sounds, I found myself aroused by it. I never admitted it to myself but that is where my search for this fetish started.

After I handed in the notes that I had obtained for the fella who hired me, I did my own private research into mind breaking. It lead me to a book called the Manchurian Candidate which got me more excited. a long strange amount of books later somehow lead me to a book called 'The mammoth book of ghost stories.' One of the stories in this compilation of macabre tales was a yarn (which took place in the 1920's I believe) about a woman, whose husband gets influenced by a ghost and writes a book that becomes possessed by the spirit of a man who hunts woman to rape and kill.

As the woman reads this book she slowly becomes strangely aroused and has trouble thinking. She gets hotter and hotter and eventually takes off most of her clothes. When she finishes the book she goes to the graveyard (with a slight smile on her face and a blank, dream-like look on her face)and says 'take me master!' or something of the sort. The nearby mist surrounds her and she disappears. Her husband noticed her absence and looks for her but can't locate her. Eventually (I forget how exactly) but he goes to the graveyard and finds the last bits of clothes she was wearing by a crypt.

Upon opening it he goes to the very bottom of the tomb, where he find his naked entranced wife along with hundreds of other mostly naked and entranced women. Some of the women still had some little bits of clothing on (mostly underwear) which identified the women as being from different eras of time, corseted women from the 1700's, noblewomen from the medieval times. He finds the ghost and cleanses it with holy water which makes him burn. In revenge the spirit burns all the women in the crypt turning them into spirits as well. Spirits that are still bound to please their master and can never leave the crypt. I do believe that the spirit of the man's wife seals him in the grave with her forever.

AND THAT'S HOW I ENDED UP FINDING SUECHAN ON THE INTERNET. I needed more of this hypno material after that story and thus found my way to that young gal. Her art led me to deviantart which led to hypnochan, which led me to etc. etc. and the rest they say is history! Thus here I am, a year and a half later!
