Hover Zoom does not function properly. [FIXED]
I enabled Hover Zoom but it doesn't seem to work. When I hover over an image all I get is a small icon that looks like this: prntscr.com/4byzqk
The actual picture never comes up.

I loled.

Anyway, Hoverzoom was a feature that was being designed and programmed by a user named Stemcell. Alas, around last Nov., Stemcell up and disappeared, and no one has seen him since (to my knowledge). As such, Hoverzoom was left unfinished.

I'm still not sure what we're going to do about that. On one hand, the rest of Hoverzoom's features work great (just not the function for on-site images), so it would be a shame to get rid of it. On the other, it's incomplete and not entirely functional. Maybe we could at least edit the broken option out of it - I should be able to do that much.

Inside joke.

This is very disappointing. I really wanted a way to quickly view a larger sample of the image before loading another page.

That's not even an inside joke. That's just, like, a normal joke. Every question about site features in the past ~forever has been answered with some combination of "PHP is shit" and "we're not the devs." But yeah shouldn't be too hard to take one thing out of a program without breaking the rest of it. <<leme.me|It would be a shame if that were to happen.>>

I made a post yesterday (I think) explaining why nobody here knows a single fucking thing about PHP, especially not about making new features in it. If it was any other web language I'd (and a few other people around probably would too) be hella up for helping people figuring out how to implement shit like this. As it stands, though, nobody here wants to figure out PHP or, even worse, figure out something written in PHP.

And knowing me, it will. :P

Also, it's written in Javascript. ;)

I just hope Stemcell didn't code golf this program into a corner. If he went as few characters as possible, as he did love doing, I may not know what I'm looking at. XD

Oh wait, it is? Sheeeit I thought all of the site was PHP. Is the hoverzoom stuff in the main repo?

Well, as I said, hoverzoom was made by a user, not the dev. And Stemcell hated PHP. :P

Call me stupid for not understanding the lingo, but what are you asking about if it's in the main repo?

Wasn't there one github repo where the dev hosted everything? I didn't know if it had been put in that or if you guys had just plugged it into the working version here.

Oh, I see. Yeah, the dev has a Github repo for the booru software, but Hover Zoom isn't an official part of the software. Stem Cell made it expressly for us, so it won't be found there. The plan was that, eventually, when he got it to where he was happy with it, he was going to offer it to the developer, but that never happened...

If you want a copy of the involved scripts for whatever reason (I assume you do since you're asking if they're in the repo), I can hunt them down for you sometime tomorrow.

I have a compiler to finish writing by the 16th, but I have a free week after that and I am pretty confident in my ability to learn enough JS to fix it in that time frame. So sure, but take your time because I won't be working on it for a few days anyways.

If it would've been written in unpredictable PHP the site might've collapsed after editing xD

*edits theoretical PHP-version of Hoverzoom, tags stop working*

Vann's Facial Expression: o_O

*laughs*

Oh, and I wasn't entirely correct. There is, sadly, a PHP element to Hover Zoom, and it's rather large. I completely forgot about it.

On the bright side, the actual menu for Hoverzoom's options is made via Javascript. XD

Regardless, I'll send you two a copy via DMail, anyway.
