There is a scene that happens when you go up an elevator in a certain building in Lumiose City, this Hex Maniac who might be a ghost will glide from behind the player to the front of the scene before muttering "No, you're not the one" as she leaves after saying that.

There's a small nod to it in the next game, where a Hex Maniac in Mt. Pyre says the same quote but doesn't leave. This game chronologically takes place before that last one. Seems like she's been searching very far and wide...
