Honestly, and I mean no offense to people who like empty eyes, I totally agree with Nadia here. Empty eyes work when there is context to them, but without that context they don't scream MC to me.

That said, to each his/her own. I know some folks can't stand whitewash eyes, and they're my favorite kind of hypno-eyes.

Implying that adding a few lines of text would make this MC when it "isn't" feels highly suspect to me. We can all agree her eyes look like she isn't in her right mind, and that this is an anime staple. If all you need to do is imagine any scenario and it works, then it's very clearly mc.
