So, is this a thread for songs that mention MC, or have MC-ish themes? Just trying to make sure I understand the topic.

Ooh, I've been thinking of making a thread like this. It's funny you mentioned They Might Be Giants, a good chunk of their repertoire contains MC themes.

The Statue Got Me High - "The stone, it calls to you, you can't refuse to do the things it tells you to"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrc9siok3IU

The Bells Are Ringing - "The bells are ringing and everyone's walking with arms extended in a trance"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=He_fS6mLw7I

Dirt Bike - "Brainwashing dirt bike, ground-shaking dirt bike, mind-bending dirt bike in control"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyLivU9LzDg

Spiraling Shape - "Putting all reason aside you exchange what you've got for a thing that's hypnotic and strange"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aeOBZ7gVPY

The Darlings of Lumberland - "Drag you by your mind, now you're under their command; the Darlings of Lumberland"

"Hypno Sex Ray" by The Cramps
Granted it's just kind of about a girl shaking her ass, but still applies I guess

"Sleep Now" from the Dark City soundtrack
I'm not really into industrial whatever, but I can't help but find "Sleep." repeated during the breakdown around one minute in to be kind of funny.

"Feel For You" by Nightwish
The chanting of the last lines over and over is just... mmm. I love this song.

If we're talking pop songs, here's one of the more hypnotic songs I've ever heard.

Kylie Minogue - "Confide In Me"

Not so much the lyrics but the instrumentals.

If we're talking instrumental/New Age, there is a load of hypnotic music. Many stage hypnotists use Art of Noise's "Moments in Love" during the induction.

Also, Vangelis "Alpha" (as featured in COSMOS, though not the opening, which was "Heaven and Hell")

Still not 100% sure what we're supposed to be listing, but here's a couple oldies that everyone here will find lame:

Witchy Woman - Eagles

Always found this kinda hypnotic, if spooky. Plus "she held me spellbound" and "she got the moon in her eyes".

You Can Do Magic - America
youtu.be/PKWrKYiKSpo
"You know darn well
When you cast your spell
You will get your way
When you hypnotize
With your eyes
A heart of stone can turn to clay"

By the way, some K-Pop songs have music videos where the girls are robots, or are some how technologically modified, is that on topic?

For me the videos with MC are much more fun than lyrics with MC, and I have no idea what K-Pop lyrics look like because it's cringe-inducing enough as is, most of the time. Knowing what it says would make it worse :P
But I commend them for putting lots of candy butts on stage.

Also, if the idea is "clips that will brainwash you", then "PonPonPon" comes to mind. It can provoke permanent brain damage, so be advised.

PonPonPon... wow its been a while since i've seen this... if its not part of a legitimate MC plot I'd be surprised... its just so completely insane obviously meant to cloud minds so subliminals can be input...

Also I'm glad someone mentioned all the TMBG MC music I'd add

Sleepwalkers (no official video)
See them over there
See them moving down the road
Their arms held out ahead
And their eyes, their eyes are closed

Don't make any noise
Cry out loud or stamp your feet
You'll wake the girls and boys
Who are walking in their sleep

Dunno if this qualifies as "music", it's the sound of a Yucatan (Mayan?) drum being played at 210 beats a minute for half an hour for a hypnotic effect. I used it in the background with a hypnosis file I already responded well to and I went very deep. It's as good as binaurals.
