1A hime cut (princess cut) is a hairstyle consisting of straight, [[long_hair]], [[blunt_bangs]], and sidelocks with blunt ends. All elements should be present to be considered a hime cut. As the name suggests, the style is thought to have originated, or at least become common, in the Imperial court during the Heian Period of Japanese history, when noble women would sometimes grow out their hair for their entire lives. Popular examples include: • [[Yumeko_Jabami]] from [[Kakegurui]] • [[Ruri_Gokou]] from [[Oreimo]] • [[Fujiwara_no_Mokou]] and [[Kaguya_Houraisan]] from [[Touhou]] • [[Hinata_Hyuuga]] from the second half of [[Naruto_(series)]] • [[Ayaka_Kamisato]] and [[Yun_Jin]] from [[Genshin_Impact]]
