A Neat Feature You May Not Have Noticed
Edit: The feature I originally created this thread for is a lot neater and more convenient, but it's apparently a mod-only feature.

So, you know those times when you're posting an image you found on Pixiv, and you don't know what the correct tag to use for the artist is? Or maybe you're not sure if the character in your pic is from a series or not? Or maybe you lost the source link for the pic? Or maybe you're looking at a manip and want to see the original? If any of these have ever happened to you, one of the features on this site may help!

Here's how to use the site's "similar" feature. Go to the page for the pic you want to search, right click the <<i.imgur.com/b2MoSHt.jpg|Download larger version>> link, and select "Copy Link Location" (if there's no "Download larger version" link, right click the pic and select "Copy Image Location"). Then, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click the <<i.imgur.com/AV9LDdf.jpg|Image Search>> link. Once there, click the <<i.imgur.com/yucKyjw.jpg|Use all services>> link (for best results), and paste the link you copied into the source field. Click "Search" and <<i.imgur.com/4MERGhm.jpg|tadaa!>> Click on any of the results to visit the page.

Of course, if the pic hasn't been posted to Danbooru or Gelbooru, you'll get no results. But this can be a big help in tagging your held posts, or finding the base pics for manips.

Alright, I fixed it. This method should work for everyone. It's just a lot more complicated.

Another method is just using an IQDB bookmarklet.

Since I couldn't find one, I wrote one for myself. It's pretty simple to use, just go to an image directly (like "open image in new tab" or similar), and click on the bookmarklet.

javascript:location='iqdb.org/?url=' + encodeURIComponent(document.URL);

Here's one for SauceNao too:
javascript:location='saucenao.com/search.php?url='+encodeURIComponent(document.URL);

To "install" these, just make a bookmark and put that (including "javascript:") as the bookmark's location. (They're a single line)
