Persona 5 Trailer released. Most mind blowing game ever?
<<www.youtube.com/watch?v=o...2H8-0hYTcu24w&index=1|It is happening!>>

My brain just exploded and I have trouble putting all the bits together again, plz halp!

Usually avoid starting offtopic threads like this... but damn, I just had to do this knowing how many fellow JRPG gamers are hanging around here.

I love JRPG (Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Tales of,...)

But Persona never had a french translation. So I never played it...

This might very well turn out to be the best year in gaming ever ;-).

IMO you should just give the English version a try. Seriously, if your English is good enough to navigate the hub and web and actually chat with people like you are doing here... playing a game with visual novel dialogue which conveniently stops whenever someone says something and with subtitles in the short animated sequences should be pretty easy for you. Not like they use super complicated language in Persona games either (especially since English shares quite of French vocabulary as well) and you can keep a online dictionary nearby for a quick translation of the odd word you don't understand.

Let me tell you out of experience, once you actually start to expose yourself to stuff with English subtitles and text like this... your English improves massively within months. Started watching Anime with English subs when I was 14 and my English grades climbed up from 3-/C- level to 1/A grade level in school within 2 years.

Of course all of this was very helpful for me too, I just don't have enough confidence in my "skills". ^^'

I've yet to finish a Persona game, but I'll be picking up Persona 5 to not finish alongside the unfinished 3 FES and 4.

Also, they aired Persona 3 the movie #1-2 during the 30 hour stream, and Junpei + Marin Karin during the July full moon was hilarious to see, even if I had no idea what was being said.

Please, GotY is going to be Metal Gear Solid V or maybe Uncharted 4 or even Arkham Knight.

But P5 is my most anticipated game. My wife and I are probably going to take a week off of work, prepare a slow cooked meal which can be accessed any time, create pots of tea and coffee and just play until it's done.

Well, that's the problem right there. You won't know if your English skills are good enough if you don't actually try it ;). So just get over the confidence barrier, download PCSX2 and an ISO of Persona 3 FES and give it a shot. You won't have to pay a single cent and if you really can't deal with the English 2-3 hours or so into the game (and judging from the English you use in here, I SERIOUSLY doubt that will happen) you can still stop playing.

You have nothing to lose anyway and your our alternative is missing two of the best JRPG of all time (P3 and P4, probably P5 as well, not even counting the awesome spin-offs), so you should definitely give it a try.
C'mon, it's not like anyone is looking over your shoulder and judging your English skills while you try out the game (and look up an odd word with an online dictionary on your smartphone every 30 minutes or so), I mean if you got enough courage to chat with REAL people in English over the net and you do a pretty nice job while doing so, there is nothing to be afraid of and nothing stopping you from watching/playing stuff in English as well ;-).

There's a lot of things to notice in this trailer that have a lot of links to Persona 2. If you know your Persona lore then there's plenty to discuss when you try and analyse all the things going on here.

I desperately hope they plan to bring this to PC eventually. I don't have a PS3 or PS4 and after watching that trailer my hype levels are higher than the sun.
