The avatar of Chaos that exists only to do Chaos’ bidding, bringing terror and destruction to mankind. Bozel is always searching for the demon sword Alhazard, to complete the mission. Different incarnations of Bozel make appearances throughout the Langrisser series, sometimes using pseudonyms such as “The Dark Mage Faelart” and “The Sorcerer Gambino.” The most-well known design of Bozel belongs to a character known as “Paul,” who officially debuted it’s original human-self in Langrisser III.
Bozel is not a person, but rather an evil spirit who possesses a human body to serve as the avatar of the pagan deity known as Chaos. Those who are possessed by Bozel don Bozel’s armor, cease to age, and become capable of using the dark blade Alhazard’s mana channeling power. Typically, only the most corrupt and evil of mankind are selected by Chaos for this role. However, in times following a Bozel’s death but before Chaos has selected a new soul, any human who grabs Alhazard can be transformed into a new Bozel.
