I'm so glad I don't care about shinies. Especially since I have no idea what the Masuda Method is. The IVs are a pain in the ass, though, even with Friend Safari Pokemon and Destiny Knot. I'm not even sure why I started to pay attention to IVs. I'm pretty sure it's everybody else's fault.

I really can't be assed to care about IVs, honestly. I get that they make a difference in the long run, but they're way to difficult to manipulate. I'll just stick with EV training.

I don't know, from the way you guys make it sound, it seems easier to manipulate IVs than get shiny Pokemon.

Yeah, maybe. I guess I just care more about getting a shiny Pinsir than I do getting a Pinsir with the perfect IV spread.

I still don't know if I'll end up trying it because it sounds like a huge pain in the ass, but going by stuff like this www.smogon.com/forums/thr...n-in-pokemon-x-y.3490432/ it sounds like getting five 31s is not much of a big deal anymore thanks to Destiny Knot and guaranteed perfect IV wild Pokemon (Friend Safari pokemon have 2 guaranteed 31s, wild baby Pokemon have 3)

Shiny Pokemon are cool (well, some of them; I prefer the default color schemes of a lot of them), but I guess I'd rather brag that "My ___ can beat up your ___." I mean, if I spent hours trying to get a shiny Pokemon only to find out that the one I got has crappy stats, I'd probably tuck it in a box, never to be touched again.

Besides, to use this "Masuda Method", I'd need Pokemon from another region, which would require Wonder Trade, which I'm too scared to use, as has previously been established. In the meantime, I'm working my way to a pretty bitchin' Lapras. Why Lapras? Why not?

Yup, this is basically what I've been doing. Though, FUCK, I didn't realize the guy in Kiloude City would tell you which IVs were maxed. Why the hell have I been wasting time with an IV calculator?! This just got a shitload easier.

Alright, I got my bitchin' Lapras. Though I'm not sure how I should handle the EV training on this one. [Edit: Never mind, I decided.]

Incidentally, does anyone have need of a Modest female Lapras with max IVs in HP, Def, SpA, and SpD? I got my Lapras with 5 max IVs quicker than I thought I would (although, how the hell max Speed IVs are going to help me with a Lapras, I have no idea).
