SPOILER:
In Tears of the Kingdom, Ganondorf's corrupting evil gunk gets in some of the rocks the Gorons eat. This corrupted rock acts like a drug for Gorons who consume it; they no longer care about anything other than eating more. While under its influence, the normally nice Gorons become angry, lazy, and will even scam people to get more of the drug rocks. Their eyes also change from their normal color to glowing red, the color of the corrupting gunk. When you clear the area of Ganondorf's influence, the Gorons snap out of it and go back to their normal selves.
