The Borg are linked to a hivemind known as "the Collective", and use forms of tech_control by assimilating individual beings into drones by injecting nanoprobes into their bodies and surgically augmenting them with cybernetic components. An example of a character assimilated by the Borg is Seven_of_Nine, who is depicted with Borg cybernetic implants upon her face.
The Borg's catchphrase is "resistance is futile".
