Hello, friends!
My name is Nell-Chrome, well maybe some of you already know who I am. The reason I make this thread is because I have a dilemma.

To be honest, after posting some pictures back in hypnobooru, I'm back to lurking like before. The reason I did that because..while I love to WATCH porn..that's not the case when I'm in the position to draw it. I don't know why but I always have this unsettling feeling when I'm trying to draw something like that.

Well actually, I still can tolerate drawing nutidy in some degree (this is the best I can do right now: nell-chrome.deviantart.com/art/A-Gift-407413861 ), but for sex scene or something like that, I guess I'll pass.

I'm asking this because I see most of "favorite" images here at least have sex scene. And deep down in my heart (lol) I want to contribute to this community as I really love hypnofetish. I do have a some of ideas about my future drawing (and one of them is a manga/comic), and I'm trying to make them interesting without sacrificing my own feeling.

So yeah, what should I do? keep going as it is, or I'm just a "bad artist" that should ditch that feeling away?

I have to say I feel the same way, I've opened more to drawing hypno stuff, but I'm hesitant to draw outright sexual stuff. I know I've drawn that sort of thing already but its always a niggle in my head that bugs me. You can definitely draw hypno stuff without it being outright porn.

I don't think you should force yourself to do anything you don't want to. I certainly understand the feeling--as someone with way more experience writing than drawing, I find it really difficult to write sex scenes/erotica because it makes me feel extremely self-conscious and sort of ridiculous.

I say take it slowly its nice get out of the comfort zone a little but don't try to force yourself if you think your ready then go for it.

That's not necessarily true. Of the 30 highest-rated pics on this site, only 12 actually depict anything sexually explicit. 8 don't even have nudity, including the most popular pic on the site (post #9262). So, you don't have to draw anything with sex to make something the people here will love.

Don't force yourself to do something you don't want to do! Please, continue to make the work that you enjoy making. I quite like your artwork now, and I look forward to seeing more!

This is a very important rule.

But in this case, you WANT to draw something for the community. From my own experience, I've done a drawing that included nudity and wrote some erotica pieces and I will admit that sometimes you will feel conflicted with your drawing. Erotica is slightly different as when you're writing it, it's your imagination at work - the real challenge is to word it in a way that won't feel awkward for you and the reader.

Anyway, if you really don't like the feeling and it's bothering you, I suggest to go with something hypno-themed without the nudity. It's very much well within the realm of possibility since the fetish is so open-ended! Similarly like James said, if you feel conflicted with your piece, it will likely affect its outcome. Maybe wait until you're more confident in tackling a piece that involves something sexual.

What Mindwipe said. You don't have to draw sex... you just have to draw MOAR HYPNO-TAN!

...or was that not where you were going with that, Mindwipe-dono?

But in all seriousness, everyone has their own style/way they do things. If your style isn't pornographic, you shouldn't feel obligated to change it just to please other people... especially when you already manage to please other people with what you do...

Case and point. Also seconded.

You're a good artist. Just keep up what you already do. Nudity or no, we always appreciate more well-drawn images on here ^_^

I know I'm judging it subjectively, kinda have low self esteem lol

Thank you very much lol :v
It's the first time I tried drawing full digital (usually I sketch manually, and do the rest in computer), though. I'm glad people love it despite I think the anatomy is a bit off.

Not exactly where I was going with it, but I approve of the idea. Can never have too much Hypno-tan.

That's exactly what I was thinking as I read the opening post. XD

I'd go on and sound all philosophical and sage-y now, but I'd just be sounding cool while mimicking things already said by others. I personally believe that quality of art will always go down if the one drawing it is not comfortable with or otherwise dislikes it. This applies to MOST things in life: cooking, math, writing, construction work, anything. If the one doing the job doesn't like doing it, then the quality of the result suffers. As such, I will always recommend that you do what you like.

This does not mean that you have to avoid pushing your comfort zones, but don't feel pressured into doing such a thing. When you do spread and flap your wings a bit, make sure it's because you want to fly, not because you think others want you to.

Draw what you like. Personally, I'm a big fan of characters merely being hypnotized, especially the exact point they "succumb". I think that's as sexy as hardcore hypno-hentai.

Your art is excellent. I'm in agreement that it's a good idea to push your boundaries a bit, but do it at your own pace. Maybe start by doing implied sexual situations, something off panel as an example.

I doubt if things need to be sexual or even nude for people here to enjoy them.

Subtle is better, I think.

Well then, since I've made up my mind..I think I will use this thread as a place when I put my drawing then (other than deviantart)

For that one, it's been quite a while for me to draw such amount of objects, so i give up in the middle of coloring and just go put it on DA lol. For (not so) loli with coin and "cable" hypno-tans, I think it's cute to give them a little bit different hairstyle.

I never draw any kaa, so pardon me if something is weird.
I posted the line version if you guys think the pic above is ugly lol: fav.me/d6rj1p4
