A type of [[cat]]-like [[Pokemon_(creature)]] who likes shiny things, especially coins. The best known Meowth is the one who accompanies [[Team_Rocket]] because of its ability to talk and converse in human speech.
It evolves into [[Persian]].
It has two regional variants: Dark-type [[Alolan_Meowth]], which evolves into [[Alolan_Persian]], and Steel-type [[Galarian_Meowth]], which evolves into [[Perrserker]].
