While I'm sure they're spying on us... Google document?
I myself use Skype (and when it was alive, MSN Messenger) these days, but forum RP was something I used to love before I discovered RP groups on dA. (Oh the memories)
And Google Docs is actually how I store my RP logs and such, I know a few people that RP via docs they set up and the like as well. - v -)/
As for forums, I don't mind laying the funds to host one. I don't really have any big things I need to pay so 5 bucks a month isn't an issue for me.

That solves the biggest issue. I'll make a post soon about how you can do it.
On a side note, I love how these things spawn because of a collective interest. Always interesting to see something form.

I'm still ecstatic about the birth of HypnoHub.

Whatever happens here, I'm proud that the community is taking the initiative. :3 Mainly because it means that I won't have to moderate it. :P I wouldn't even know how to moderate an RP forum.
But it also says very good things about this community as a whole.
I love you guys. <3
Just posted a long-ass guide that surprisingly only scratches the surface, but I tried to make it as easy to follow as possible. forum #2243
Questions welcome - also I can help you with the command line part if it's too alien for you.

Would it really be premature of me to start noting down ideas for stuff I'd like to Roleplay? Because their might be quite a few of them...

Not at all, to be honest, about a third of my thought processes always lead towards one of my OCs for RP and other shenanigans~

Heh same. The vast majority of all the OCs have ever made up where for roleplaying and they've ended up in a lot of different scenarios over the years. A lot of the time me subjecting them to hypnosis, corruption transformation or something along those lines.

Yeah, a lot of my OCs have done the same thing, and sometimes I even carry over some traits into their actual character, like how an alternate twist/event happened with them, and though something else was established and is a definitive point, its overwritten in their... "canon" i guess.
I really need to learn how to put my thoughts into words better, or at least have my thought processes make more sense--;;;;

Most of my OC roleplays are a definitive story. A good 70% ends with them dead.
It probably seems lazy, but I've used the same few characters in completely different situations and settings before. Something about alternate universes or them falling in different fates has a lot of appeal to me for some reason. Some things stuck around here and there, some changed a hell of a lot over the course of some stuff too.
