I looked into making a forum after the comment at Piper's Domain. The site that looks best is temporarily closed to new registration. The next best host allows "mature" content but discourages pornography so they might let us slip by. It would be much easier to use an existing roleplay site, though. Hopefully someone knows of an existing site. The Pediatrician suggested shangrilamux.com/ might allow it.

I'd really like to Rp scenarios with younger characters, I mean really it doesn't have to result in anything sexual but most people will steer right clear of it just cos. If people would be I'd be totally up for it.

Not by much - if your server supports some scripting language (that is, it's not just an HTTP server but has something like PHP), you can download a forum package. Installing is pretty easy most of the time.

It has the advantage of "you're the moderator".

I used to run a forum for no other reason than to have the experience. It never got large, as it was just me messing around with friends, but it was fun while it lasted. Ended up shutting it down due to time constraints - we were pretty much done with it, anyway.

I remember using <<www.simplemachines.org/|Simple Machines Forums software>>. It's free, and I remember it being a real breeze to install and administrate. Granted, this was years ago, and I don't know how it's changed, but if you decide to do what Stem_Cell said, you may wish to consider SMF. Last I checked, they also had a pretty substantial collection of addons for the software that could add anything from basic image album galleries to a "reward" or "trophy" system.

There's also <<www.phpbb.com/|PHPBB>>. I've heard good things about their software, but I've never used it. They're also free, supposedly.

ASSTR does not support it unfortunately. I already tried to set up a chan there when hypnochan first went down. I've been trying to find a free host that supports PHP but almost none also allow adult content.

Hmmm perhaps you can ask in Ensnared? It's a forum dedicated exclusively to Mind Control Roleplaying. I looked through the rules and it says nothing against loli and shota... But I'd ask the admins there about it first, since I don't think it has exactly come up yet.

In the past I only ever used one free PHP host, it was called x10Hosting I think. They were pretty good for a free service, you even get a neat cPanel.

But I would recommend you to set up a VPN on a cheap paid host instead - the fact that you pay them something makes a whole difference. For example, RamNode is very cheap, and there's a 35% lifetime discount cupom online which means your hosting can be great and for less than $5/month. I'm hosted with them and their specs and uptime can't be compared for that price. And they allow porn.

Not sure if it's possible on this site, but you might be able to create a separate category specifically for it. If not, the RP could flood the main forums. While I'm sure we'd all love to read some erotic hypno RP, might be best to keep it out of people's faces.

Yeah it could get out of hand if theres a lot of folks who want to Rp, but the looks of it there are a good few. Most Rp boards I've been on have had to have sub forums for everything to keep things tidy anyway.

I think it might be fun to see some roleplay on this site...

Do you guys think you could just set up a *second* forum just like the first? I don't know how hard that is to do, but it'd be great.
