You know how it is. Those lonnnng cross-country drives where you just kinda zone out, your mind absolutely focused on the road, driving on pure autopilot, the miles drift on by without you even realising it, and then all of a sudden *blink* oh, we're there already?

Highway Hypnosis!

It's a real thing, and like the main example everyone gives for "hypnosis is a totally natural state of being that people enter all the time without even noticing it". It was also pretty much the idea that inspired this whole theme!

I've had this happen and it's not a fun experience when you realize it happened because that's when you're the most likely become a danger on the road.
